The International Cultural
Center
of Texas Tech University (
http://www.iaff.ttu.edu)
invites photographers to submit images for our seventh annual juried
photo exhibit, “High and Dry: Peoples and Places of the World’s Dry
Lands.” The choice of subject is up to the photographer, but all images
must reflect some aspect of the arid/semiarid theme (be it people,
animals, or landscapes) and the images may not have been exhibited
before in Lubbock. Maximum entry number is five images and
photographers may submit either 35 mm slides (duplicate slides only) or
CD images (72 ppi). Cost of entry is $6.00 per image with checks
payable to Texas Tech University. Cash awards given for 1st, 2nd, and
3rd place.
This year’s juror is Norman Mauskopf (http://www.normanmauskopf.com/).
Pieces selected to be in show will be on display at the International
Cultural Center from November 16, 2007 through January 18, 2008,
and a reception will be held on December 7. Photographers whose work is
selected will be asked to send us quality prints fitted in a 16” x 20”
white mat. We will frame the works on site.
Our Call for Entry can be found at
http://www.iaff.ttu.edu/home/high&dry.pdf
